Lofoten Trip Day 1

Seeing some beautiful views, getting my bearings in Norway

Lofoten Trip Day 1

First trip of my Lofoten 🇧🇻 trip! The day started in Riksgränsen 🇸🇪 and ended at a small camping place in Sandsletta Camping, Laukvik.

The main mode of transport was supposed to be my bike, but i ended up opting for the car, bringing the bike for day trips after seeing that the weather was going to be rainy basically the entire week i was spending there. This ended up being a good choice, i dodged a lot of rain in the car!

Started the day going and parking my car in Svolvaer. Took the bike to the camping place and had my first experience with the Norwegian language, turns out Swedish and most Norwegians can understand each other without much issue.

Anyways, here are some of the images i took on day 1!

Panoramic view you get of the first body of water you see when you drive from Riksgränsen, Sweden 🇸🇪 into Norway 🇧🇻 just before the Lofoten mountains start!

After setting up first camp! This Durston X-Mid 2 Solid tent served me incredibly well on this trip. It is awfully expensive but oh wow, it is so worth it!

Eating some great ravioli for dinner!

Pro tip! Trangia makes some of the absolutely best camp cookwear, but do not, in any way, for any reason, purchase this spork, it is so bad its humiliating to use. Food gets stuck in all these holes 🫠

Sweet dreams from my roomy 2 people tent!

Thats it for day 1! Took a lot of mental power to get around and get camp set up etc, so did not have a lot of mental freedom for pictures! There will be a lot more pictures to come in the following days though!

Until then! Linus out ♥️
